Hi! My name is Mika Bidiak and I am currently a Junior at Drew University majoring in Environmental Studies/Sustainability and minoring in Environmental Justice. Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of studying marine ecology. There’s nothing I love more than swimming with fish and learning about the environment. Recently, I have been accepted to my school’s 9-day study abroad program to study Tropical Marine Ecology in Belize during Spring break, where we will be snorkeling, identifying tropical fish, immersing ourselves in Belizean culture, and studying the impacts of microplastics and climate change on the second largest coral reef colony in the world.
