In January 2026, I woke up dizzy and nauseous. After years of health challenges, I was diagnosed with another serious issue, the early stages of a certain kind of brain atrophy. But this story began in 2022, after a routine vitamin IV therapy. Within days of doing it, something went terribly wrong. Large veins began appearing on my hips, then spreading to my arms, thighs, and calves. I felt intense pressure in my limbs, strange blood flow sensations, and crushing fatigue. Within three months, I could barely move. Tests showed no clots, yet my blood was dark and slow to draw. Doctors were baffled. My energy dropped from 90% to 10%. I feared I was fading.
A few sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy slowed the decline, but as symptoms persisted, I needed deeper intervention. After exhausting my savings on specialists, I eventually discovered stem cell therapy and a company called Bioxcellerator in Medellín, Colombia. The testimonials were incredible. In addition to my ‘mystery condition,’ I also suffer from peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain), spine issues and a host of other problems from injuries over the years, and amazingly they treat all these conditions in their facility.
After seeing that a host of notable athletes and celebrities had been treated there, I was nervous to contact them, but after eight months I built up the courage to do a cold reach out on Instagram to the CEO with a proposal in late 2024.
As a filmmaker with a degree in Film from Howard University I proposed to them a joint project: documenting not just my physical healing, but the emotional and spiritual journey of recovery. He was greatly energized by the novelty of the proposal.
Emboldened by the possibility of healing, with the help of a friend I took a trip to Medellin in January 2025. Serendipitously, I ran into the CEO of the company on the street while there and got a tour of the facility and a sit-down in person with the CEO. This quickly led to a subsequent meeting with the heads of finance and marketing departments for their company to whom I pitched the documentary concept. Everyone loved the idea and it was looking very positive. But then things fell quiet for a while. A full seven months passed. When I had my recent situation of dizziness, I knew it was now or never. I reached back out to the company about my proposal, and they agreed: If I can cover certain upfront costs: travel, a security deposit, living expenses during my recovery time and certain production costs, they will cover my treatment.
This fundraiser will help me get to Medellín, receive care, heal, and tell a story that could bring hope to thousands suffering from chronic and unexplained conditions. The donations will be used to cover flights, a security deposit for the procedure and various equipment production costs. If this moves you, please donate and share. Help a young man to get his life back—and help others discover new possibilities for their own healing.
