A young 14 year old girl named, Malak, is in urgent need for life saving heart surgery. The valve in her heart is failing her and her need for surgery is now a matter of life or death. There is no free or easily accessible healthcare in Somalia and Malak's family simply cannot afford it.

Allah says in the quran, (5:32), "whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved all of mankind".

With your donations the family will able to pay for a heart valve replacement with all the hospital fees covered and post treatment, ultimately saving her life!

She was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease, which is when the heart valves have been damaged permanently by recurring rheumatic fever. Rheumatic fever can occur after a throat infection but can be treated with antibiotics.

Sadly even though it has been eradicated from most of the world, it still is life-threatening to low-income countries where people cannot afford or have access to appropriate healthcare.
