My name is Lula Cherry & I’m a transgender student studying at CalArts. I’m looking to raise funds for my next short film in the Borderline Murder Trilogy, a coming-of-she horror/comedy short film trilogy about identity, sexuality, & the body. This upcoming film is titled Postmortem and is about a woman in her 20s who feels lost and stumbles from friend to friend being a wreck while hiding a terrible secret… the corpse she’s embalming underneath her bed. This black and white film deals with themes like guilt, shame, resentment, the questioning of everything. I have the script written and an amazing cast & crew wanting to bring this film to life, I just need the money to secure locations, feed everybody as we film, and get costumes and makeup.
