Help Fund Lucky's Forever Home

After years of thinking about it and trying to will it into existence I was finally able to buy a van to live and travel in. Here we are...


Now comes the task of fixing a few mechanical issues and outfitting it for me to live in. I paid a lot for this van because it's capable of taking me just about anywhere I want to go. The initial cost has left me with next to nothing in my pocket paired with a continuously shrinking income. So if I want to make this thing livable where I can hit the road and get the income curve headed in the right direction again I'm going to need some help.

The main, necessary  expense is going to be batteries and solar. The batteries alone will run close to $3,000, maybe more once I get my specific power needs figured out. I could go a cheaper route but the title of this GoFundMe isn't really a joke. I'm looking at this like it's my "Forever Home" so I'd like to get everything right the first time, or at least as close to it as I can. 

Why $15,000? 
I know right? Seems like a ridiculous amount. Well, that is a "Lucky gets everything he wants and needs" number. A full $6,000 of that would be putting a fiberglass high top on it so I could actually stand up in my house and have a lot more storage space available. Another $5,000 for batteries and solar. Then there's a12 volt fridge, soundproofing, insulation, lighting, diesel heater, vent fans, cellular booster and about a million other odds and ends that will nickel and dime me to the poor house. The fiberglass top is the big expense that I'm willing to skip, BUT it is the one thing that needs to be done before all the others if it's going to get done. So, I  made the goal $15,000 because that's what I need to really get it the way I need it. 

Listen, if I got $150 I'd be over the moon. My friends have always been there for me when I needed it and most of the time I've had something to offer. This time I really don't. So I'm asking but not expecting. That said, if you have a buck or ten to help me get on the road it would be much appreciated.
