Hello all! My name is Shalom and I am posting this GoFund for my last furbaby, Lily-girl. Lily-girl is 6 years old. She enjoys running outdoors, playing fetch, and laying around with our nieces and nephews. Earlier this week, we noticed lily’s eyes and gum started to turn yellow. Today (Saturday) we noticed her skin started to turn yellow. We rushed her to the Pet ER to see what was going on. According to the doctors, they did an xray and didn’t find a whole lot. She tested negative for autoimmune disease, but they’re not 100% sure it’s accurate. They’re hospitalizing her and putting her on IV and meds, because her liver enzymes are too high. They’re hoping it’s bacertia or a toxin that can be treated, and not cancer She already has separation anxiety from me & my family and the thought of her being without us is nauseating. We’re going to visit her as many times every day, until she progresses and can be released. Per the Vet, there is no telling how long she’ll be hospitalized. With that being said, pet finances are expensive, but we will do anything for her. The Pet ER could not do the x-rays without us first paying the bill. I applied for CareCredit and got approved the amount to cover her X-Rays: $1,137.31. Now, with her being hospitalized and undergoing treatment, the Pet ER is asking for $5,000+ to start treatment immediately, and possibly (a total of) $9,000+ by the end of her treatment. That is just a rough guestimate. Per the Vet, releasing her home would not be a good idea as she might go to doggy heaven tonight. My family is trying to raise $10,000 total just in case they add more fee’s, as we don’t know how long she will be in there. We are already looking into doing fundraisers outside (we make and sell meat pies, btw!) in the coming weeks to help out. Although we are asking for a lot, we appreciate anything anyone can give, whether it’s a $1 or $2. Lily-girl is our heart. She is overprotective over us, our guard dog, and will protect us from anything and everything. She loves our baby nieces and nephews. She’s hard to win over, has anxiety YES, but when she gets to know you/warms up to you, she will LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY & WILL PROTECT YOU FROM THE WORLD. She gives the best hugs. The people who know her can attest to that. Please consider donating to our precious girl. She is too young to go to doggy heaven. We have faith that she will pull through, we are not ready to let her go. Any amount donated is appreciated because every cent and dollar will go to her. Any amount leftover will be donated to other furbabies in need. God bless you all in your giving!
