Note from Karen:
I ´met’ Diana through Hope & Play and a mutual friend. Diana did not want to ask for help. I would like to think Diana now sees that any help we give is not charity but solidarity. Solidarity from friends and family of Palestine. I would also like to add what Diana is too humble to say. Diana is a generous and compassionate and caring woman and talented artist. She has been working tirelessly with @Hopeand Play charity throughout this latest 2 year assault on Gaza, supporting the displaced children and young people of Gaza, using art to provide respite and help to process the traumas they have experienced all the time whilst herself trying to survive. All the money donated will be transferred by me in England to Diana in Gaza. The money is to fund essentials such as food, shelter and required medical aid. Please please help however you can. In Diana’s own words…
I’m writing this with a heavy heart, not because I want to, but because life has pushed me to a point where I have no other choice.
I am from Gaza — a place where every day is a battle just to survive. Since the war began, everything has changed. I lost my home, my sense of safety, my ability to work, and the most basic things that people elsewhere may take for granted: food, clean water, electricity, a warm place to sleep.
I never imagined I would need to ask for help like this. But today, I am reaching out to you because my situation has become unbearable. I am struggling to secure the minimum: food to eat, medicine, and a roof over my head.
This donation link is not for a charity or an organization. It’s personal. It’s for me — to survive, to regain some stability, and to live with dignity in the midst of chaos. Every single contribution, no matter how small, means something. It means I can eat today. It means I can sleep without fear of hunger or illness.
If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to help someone directly affected by the crisis in Gaza — this is it.
If you can donate, I am deeply grateful.
If you can’t, please consider sharing this link. That alone might be the reason someone else sees it and chooses to help.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. May your kindness return to you many times over.
With hope and respect
Diana
