Let’s Talk WOC (Women of Color) is a youth-led platform dedicated to uplifting self-identifying teen women of color and allies in Vancouver through storytelling, art, activism, and healing. Started by Zoya Reebye in 2023, she has had a vision to create a society built on empathy and understanding. Let's Talk WOC aims to inspire women of color to recognize their inner power, create allies, and motivate people to make a difference in their communities. We want to dismantle systems of oppression that disadvantage marginalized communities. We’re currently fundraising to host inclusive, empowering events — including paint-and-discuss gatherings, community conversations, and creative workshops — where young women can explore what it means to be a woman, share their lived experiences, and take action for social justice.
Your donation will directly help us:
Buy event supplies
Provide snacks and drinks to create a welcoming space
Cover materials like seating, venue, tarps, and set-up gear for outdoor events
Support facilitators and volunteers leading deep, meaningful discussions
Fund future programming that educates and activates young changemakers, and be able to raise awareness and campaigns on other social issues.
Even $5 can make a difference. You’re not just helping us host an event — you’re helping us build a movement of brave, creative, community-minded girls and women.
Let’s Talk WOC is a space where we can speak our truth, build sisterhood, and imagine a better world — together.
