Welcome to the Westerberg Law Client Assistance Fund, an opportunity to contribute to the alleviation of the human costs of Donald Trump's immigration policies. This fund is a separate checking account that will be used exclusively for paying 1) court or tribunal filing fees, 2) USCIS drastically increased fees, or 3) other class action litigation costs to challenge the terrible new changes in immigration law and policy.

We have new regulations called the asylum cooperative agreements htat were unilaterally implemented (without legislative ratification) and are nearly facially impossible to defeat. Unless appropriately appealed and challenged, they will see clients with real asylum claims (not boo hoo I was threatened once and came here) sent to countries they have no connection with and who have ZERO obligation to accept them and consider their claims.

First goals are the appellate fee of $1100 for my detained client, JCP, who was stabbed as a result of his and his father's union work and his and his father's support for certain peruvian politicans, as well as the $745 USCIS work permit renewal fees for LD, a trans woman from VZ who just changed her name legally (go her!), and JB, a deaf gay Colombian national who had his work permit stolen.

After that this fund will be used exclusively for class action litigation expenses (pro hac vice local attorneys fees, upwards of $2000 depending on the jurisdiction, printing and shipping fees, $200+ per filing per case for briefs).
