Help fund lawyer for wrongfully imprisoned friend

My name is Genevieve and I have a friend named D who has been nothing but a good influence in my life. He has shown me true genuine kindness and acts of caring. I know he is someone who will always have my back. Everyone who has met him loves him and for good reason. He is always trying to lift peoples spirits. With that being said, he is too trusting with the people that are around him. He sees the good in people and opens up to the wrong people about his hurtful past. This is what recently happened to him. He is a black man who befriended a white woman with a drug problem. He reached out to her to help her with her current issues and she took offense to that. So, in a hasty drug induced mindset, she called the cops to hurt him. This is not the first time she has done something like this. She said she was endangered and he was trying to hurt her. At this point I'm sure we have all heard that a white women is the most dangerous presence around POC. He was arrested in a town where he is not welcome based on his race. They aren't helping him, they aren't letting him speak, and they aren't connecting him with his public defender. They want to send him to prison on the basis of one persons word and they have no evidence. This women, who is currently in jail for drug abuse, has proven that she is filled with lies...And they still don't care! We, being me and the people who know him are fighting for his freedom and life, have statements from several people who say they have had the same experience with this women crying wolf to the cops and getting them in trouble for things they didn't do. We need money for a lawyer who actually cares about him, who will give him the time of day, and who will give him the justice he deserves. We really don't want to see him go away for something he didn't do, it just isn't fair. We love him so much and really want to keep him in our lives.
