Help Fund Lauren's Breast Cancer Treatments

This fundraising effort is hosted by Lauren's friends Matthew, Veronique, Solomon, and Jonathan.  

Lauren is an aunt, sister, cousin, daughter, and friend to many. Some of you may also know her as a political junkie and have seen her fiery spirit on the Roland Martin Show and other TV shows. This same spirit has helped Lauren get through a very challenging and difficult several months. She has surgery coming up this month and we, her friends, would like to assist her in this courageous fight against breast cancer.

On January 5, 2021 Lauren was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. The diagnosis was a jolt, particularly since no women in Lauren's immediate family have had cancer. She recently completed 20 weeks of grueling chemotherapy and is scheduled for surgery on June 21. This will be followed by 30 rounds of radiation treatment. Doctors have been pleased with Lauren's progress and remain optimistic heading into surgery.

We would like to assist Lauren in paying her annual insurance deductible of $8,500 and related medical expenses she has incurred so that there is one less hurdle out there to jump and she can focus entirely on recovery without worrying about finances.
