Help Fund Rocket Parts and Travel for KXR UCF

Hello!

We are Knights Experimental Rocketry (kxrucf.com) at the University of Central Florida, and we are a team of engineering students and rocket enthusiasts who love to build rockets for international competitions!

We aspire to develop students into engineers and further cultivate their passion for science, technology, and space exploration.

Our club has taken on two different projects this year: Big Chungus, the biggest and most powerful high-power rocket built at UCF, designed to carry two scientific experiments to an altitude of 10,000 ft, propelled by an N-class hybrid motor, all mounted in a 100% composite airframe structure while transmitting flight data for the Spaceport America Cup. Progress is also being made to launch three rockets set to reach 5,000 ft each for the Friends of Amateur Rocketry 51025 Competition.

Supported by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA UCF), and Students for the Development and Exploration of Space (SEDS UCF), we have been able to dedicate the past few years to perfecting our rocket designs and manufacturing crucial components and subsystems.

Unfortunately, our university is unable to fund all of our costs, including van rentals, for competition travel. And so...

The money that we raise will go directly into our travel funds!
Spaceport America Cup is set to take place in White Sands, NM
and Friends of Amateur Rocketry will take place in the Mojave Desert, CA

The two combined amount to a little over 4,000 miles of travel!!

We know what you're thinking...  "If only we could build a rocket to get us there". With your support, we can aspire to launch rockets this big!

It is our hope to give as many of our 150+ members a chance to see their work and time pay off on a launchpad at these two competitions!

We thank you in advance for all your support and time, and feel free to visit our website at kxrucf.com to learn more about our club!

Note: Funds may also be used to purchase immediately required materials and tooling
