Straight Outta Brain Surgery
Donation protected
On Tuesday February 4th, Katie Cornet will be undergoing her second brain surgery in 2 months that will hopefully help her achieve a better quality of life living with epilepsy.
Katie has been living with epileptic seizures since she was 17; they have become significantly worse in the last five, greatly affecting her everyday life. On average Katie’s dealing with 20+ seizures a day which worsen at night and ultimately haven’t allowed her to have a restful nights sleep in over a decade; amongst other daily inconveniences.
This surgery has a 50% chance of helping her live a life with decreased seizures however there’s a chance that it may not. Please help donate to help relieve the added stress of covering medical costs so that she can focus more on her recovery and less about the financial burden.
Since this is a pre-existing condition, Katie is unable to receive short-term disability coverage which adds another layer of worry to the situation. All donations will help fund the high deductible medical costs, months of recovery and unpaid time off work.
Katie has been an incredible friend and support to us all in many ways; please help support her through this time of need. She’s been courageous and inspirational and continues to be positive and full of life, even keeping her hilarious attitude through these very scary procedures.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, please help our amazing friend fund her brain surgery and think positive recovery thoughts for her tomorrow and in the coming months.
Thank you for helping and please feel free to share!
