With extremely heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our most special and beautiful Katie, taken far too soon
On the 7th November 2019 she lost her fighting battle with cancer.
Katie was originally diagnosed 3 years ago with triple negative Breast cancer - she was told if it was to return within 5 years, they would only be able to treat the cancer, but would not be able to cure it.
May 28th 2019 she and her husband, Kris, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and in the beginning of June her battle began once again when she had been suffering with back pain. A scan discovered the cancer had spread to her spine, liver and glands.
Kate fought valiantly, even by agreeing to be part of a study around the effects of immunotherapy on triple negative breast cancer. While this treatment was successful in other areas of her body, sadly the liver continued to get worse.
However, a week before she passed, the results of another scan showed no immediate cause for concern. With this news in mind, Kate did not feel it was time to sufficiently prepare her young family for the cruel twist of fate that was to come just more than a week later.
Everyone that knew Katie, also knew that she was the most amazing person, and we are all so so lucky to have known her, however long or short.
We would like to help Kris and their babies with all the support we can by easing the financial worry of this tragic day.
The cremation will take place at Thanet Crematorium on Thursday 28th November at 3:15 with more details to follow.
Any donation is greatly appreciated to help with giving Katie the send off she truly deserves.
Our perfect Angel ❤
