My grandma, Judy Gail Butler, passed away Wednesday May 28th, 2025 in Pensacola, Florida at 73 years old. She and my grandpa live in Sugar Valley, Georgia. They came to visit me, my husband and our kids for memorial day and the weekend and she got sick and passed away suddenly while down there.
She was the daughter of late Willie "Bill" Sr. and Pauline Waggoner. She is preceded in death by her brother Lewis Waggoner Jr. And great granddaughter Arrowyn Spires.
She is survived by my grandpa, Joe Butler, her husband of 39 years, my mother, Dale Mathis Hornyak, her only child, three grand children, Jordan (Travis) Crocker, Jessica (Josh) Spires, and Joseph (Samantha) Hornyak, four great grandchildren, Makinleigh Spires, Rixon Taylor, Abigail Hornyak and Solaria Spires.
She was and will always be loved, just as she loved us so fiercely. She will be missed beyond measures and will never be forgotten. It's never forever, it's just for a little while. The newest and brightest star in the sky. I love you to the moon and back Memomie
Her services will be held at Max Brannon And Sons Funeral home in Calhoun, Ga on Monday, the 2nd of June, from 5-8pm for visitation and Tuesday, the 3rd of June, at 1pm for her burial. She will be laid to rest in Fairview Hall Memorial Cemetery off Hall Memorial Rd in Calhoun, Ga.
On top of her sudden death, we had to get her back up to Georgia, while preparing for her funeral services, and this was a very hard thing to figure out. We are asking if you could help by donating towards her funeral and burial expenses as she doesn't have a life insurance policy and we are having to navigate this out of pocket. If you can't donate, please share so we can lay my Memom to rest and take some of this burden off of my Grandpa and Mom.
