I’m so close to catching a real break in my music career.
Since graduating from Brown 10 years ago, I’ve lived in and played shows in New York City, Berlin, Nashville, and Charleston. Over the past 2 years in Charleston, I played an average of 15 gigs per months, or 300+ shows. I think it’s fair to say that I’ve hit my 10,000 hours.
3 months ago, I had the founder of Burstimo — an artist development agency based in London — reach out to me and tell me she really liked my music, but thought my current numbers didn't reflect my potential. I also had a woman at my gig last Friday tell me “Your playing is like … I feel like you should be out playing in big stadiums or festivals.”
I agree.
It’s oftentimes a slow, long road to get on those stages — but good things are happening!
This is where I need your help.
I’m currently in Nashville this week and I have a full-day recording session booked at one top studios here, Rukkus Room. I have two videographers hired to come in to shoot my band and we're going to make an album together.
I'm incredibly excited but, understandably, the whole session has a price tag, and I need a bit of financial help to get this whole production over the finish line.
Between studio time, musicians, videography, mixing, and mastering, we're looking at $5,500. Any contribution to the production — big or small — would be sincerely appreciated. Up to this point in my life, I've invested all my savings and earnings into music. Or to put it plainly, I'm all in. Any help from you would mean the world to me.
