We are fully funded!!! Thank you for all of your support!!! We have secured a wonderful location at Drake for the portrait to live and our artist has already started painting! Thank you all so much!!!



I created this GoFundMe page to provide John's former students, colleagues and friends of Drake Music an opportunity to honor him with a special gift.

The goal is to raise the $5,000 necessary for his portrait to be painted and be displayed at FAC. I have received enthusiastic approval from the Drake Music/Arts Department, and the artist is on standby. The artist is my friend and Drake alum, David Marcet, who painted his mentor, Doc Coleman. That beautiful painting/plaque is currently on display at FAC. (see cropped versions below)
