Support Hope for Bloomington-Normal Breast Cancer Resources
Donation protected
Having breast cancer can be an intensely overwhelming experience. And sometimes we don’t realize how many people have been impacted until we run into someone at the Dr’s office or in the grocery store…or we hear from friend after friend who has to start rearranging their life around this diagnosis. Even when things go smoothly, I think there is still a sense of heaviness we, as survivors, carry. There is a sense of relief when we are doing well, but we also carry the stories of when and for whom it went differently.
So this year I had an idea…hopefully, a wonderful and meaningful idea.
During the editing process of my newest devotional, I was asked what messages I wanted to send and who I wanted to reach. I think I found those connections within the book itself, but this fundraiser is something more I can do. This is how I want to tell someone else who is suffering they are thought of and cared for.
So my idea is to donate a portion of my profits from my book sales to local breast cancer center resources. Some of the larger organizations are wonderful and amazing in what they do, but I am drawn to helping those that need it here in my community. After all, these are the folks who I share stories with, text when I get teary over commercials for new treatments, and compare pink ribbon bracelets with while waiting in line.
This year, buy a book and know that there will be a donation made locally for those in need and those trying to heal.

I am also starting this GoFundMe page for people to donate directly. It will stay open through the end of the 2024 year.
In January I’ll start giving hope donations to local places in the Bloomington-Normal, IL area. Please join me, buy a book, donate directly, and let’s shine the light of hope together.
