This is Henry. Henry was once a stray, wandering around a Lowe's all alone. In July of 2024, Henry was rescued from the Lowe's parking lot and placed in a loving home with a loving family. Unfortunately, during his time as a stray, Henry seemingly took on some internal injuries, namely unknown trauma towards the end of his spine, which resulted in him losing all feeling in his tail. In June of 2025 he began experiencing constipation. He was given multiple enemas (which he really did not like) and after a long, largely poopless month, he had to be hospitalized for 6 days in July. Since then, he has been in and out of the emergency vet and seeing internal specialists in an attempt to figure out the root cause of his digestive issues. The theory that's most likely at the moment is that its caused by nerve damage from his spinal injury, and/or Manx Cat Syndrome. We are working with these specialists on a long-term treatment plan to help with Henry's chronic constipation, included continuous appointments with the specialists and a plethora of medicines.
As his owner, I have already spent around $10,000 on vet bills, which has completely depleted my emergency fund and is placing a financial strain on me. Every vet Henry has met has told me that he is the sweetest cat they have ever seen, and of course I agree. Henry deserves to live a long and happy life free from discomfort, and I have no plans to give up on him. I want to do anything and everything I can to make this precious boy poop comfortably and live happily. This is why I must humbly ask you to donate whatever you can to help fund his treatment and hopefully cure his chronic constipation.
