GSCC Haiti (Groupe de support contre le cancer) is a non-profit organization based in Haiti that supports the fight against Cancer. Founded in 1999 by a group of ladies and one man. The Group started with the goal of providing moral support to Breast Cancer patients and working on bringing awareness about Breast Cancer and the importance of Early Detection. Living in a third world country means living with many different challenges. Most significantly the ability for cancer patients to fund their treatment. This need became apparent during GSCC first year which prompted them to start a subsidy program for treatments.
However, the challenges are only multiplying with the current COVID-19 pandemic added to a difficult socio-political environment in Haiti.
It has becoming difficult for the GSCC to constantly and efficiently help fund patients who cannot afford their treatment care. This is where you can make a difference and help spread the word.
