Our boy Goof, 4 days ago, underwent a traumatic experience for him and for us. We noticed him licking a lot, and then he couldn't use the restroom. We rushed him to the ER, and it turned into a blockage. If we wouldn't have noticed it, our boy would not be here today. We would pay anything for our animals, as we already have. His total was $2,800. Then, on 7/17, he started meowing in his litter box, which required me to go back to the vet where they had to give him an enema and fluids, which was another $383. We, of course, have pet insurance, but they only have him covered on accident, and a URI is not an accident. He is currently in a critical time frame where he could re-block again. I am absolutely terrified I might come home, and he will no longer be with us.

Goof is currently out of the hospital on MANY medications and will have to be on prescription food for the rest of his life. We are in a waiting game on if he needs a PU surgery or not to stop this from ever happening again.

Everyone has been telling me to start a GoFundMe, which I have been wary to, because the pure fact of people giving us money just seems weird to me, but here we are starting one anyway. Having our dog who just went through dental extractions one week ago! Everything is just spiraling at once. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
