Over the weekend, one of the most important members of the Virginia Riding Team, Firefly, stepped on a nail and required emergency surgery. As we all know, emergency services are extremely expensive and the Virginia Riding Team is reaching out to the Virginia horse community for help in paying for his vet bills. Firefly is one of our most dependable school horses - he makes every rider feel confident and is a favorite by everyone who is lucky enough to ride him.
Firefly was voted best horse at IEA Zones this year, where he was ridden successfully by kids across the state. He is always a favorite at our IHSA shows as well. He's done everything from ANRCs, rated shows, local shows to beginner lessons.
Horses like Firefly are a big part of the reason Virginia Riding serves as such a positive experience for riders of all levels. His cuddly and warm personality makes him a staple of our team.
