Anita was my childhood babysitter, and since has become a big sister to me and a part of our family for the past 30 years. Her family has also become a part of our family no matter how many miles separate us.

Sadly, on December 15th, Anita's niece and nephew, Fatima and Clarence, were held up at gunpoint coming off of a bus in Manila, Philippines after doing some Christmas shopping. Fatima was shot in the arm and Clarence in the back, despite handing over all of their belongings. They have both been in the hospital, the bullets have been removed and they are recovering. However, Fatima is in need of additional surgeries to regain mobility of her arm or is at risk of paralysis.

Anita's family needs $7,000 to pay for the surgeries, and I'm hoping that I can raise at least $1,000 to help their cause. Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
