OVERVIEW:
I am Daniel A. Palacios, a writer and director based in Atlanta, GA. I'm a senior Film and Media student at Georgia State University, ready to take me and my crew to the next step.
In my years at GSU, I've embarked on countless projects for myself and others. There's an amazing community of filmmakers here, all willing to do the work just for a credit, but that doesn't feel like enough anymore.
Love & Madness is my first feature film, and because of that, I aim to crowdfund $40,000 to provide fair wages to production staff and create a paid opportunity for my peers. It's because of these wonderful people that I've been able to tell my stories. So now, it's my time to return the favor.
Principal Photography is set to start in December 2024, with an estimated runtime of 1hr and 45min.

LOGLINE:
Four artists pursue romantic relationships with one another, but as they get closer to their aspirations, they must choose what they’re willing to sacrifice to succeed.
WHAT IS LOVE & MADNESS?
“Love & Madness” is an introspective coming-of-age about four artists in their early 20s who entangle themselves in romance and desire as they try to navigate the inner workings of their lives. In the process, new revelations are made about their identities, who they truly love, and how much they’re willing to give up in their relationships to get what they want.
The film is divided into segments, or “vignettes,” throughout each character's relationship. What starts as a meet-cute gradually devolves into desperate grasps for intimacy before culminating in a decision that changes everyone’s lives.
The world of Love & Madness is somber yet comedic, harkening back to American and French New-Wave aesthetics, while still deeply rooted in our modern digital world.
