Hello friends and community! Can you help me raise enough money to fund a year's worth of both intermittent catheters and INR monitoring?
I have neurogenic bladder dysfunction (my brain and bladder no longer communicate due to nerve damage), so I have to PAY TO PEE! My insurance, United Healthcare, does not cover "disposable supplies" even if prescribed by a doctor and it's the only available treatment. (Um yeah I throw away each catheter after use because reusing them would not be sanitary, UHC!) It costs me around $1200 per year to pee.
I take an INR test every week to balance my anti-coagulation medicine dosage to prevent blood clots in my mechanical aortic valve. (Mechanical valves are more prone to blood clots. Blood clots are bad!) That costs me around $30/week, but it's imperative I test weekly for my safety. I've already had 3 long-term hospitalizations due to excessive bleeding when my anti-coagulation was not balanced. I spend around $1500/year to monitor my bleeding.
I love you! Thank you for your help!
