Support Education at Sainte Thérèse de Lavial in Haiti

My name is Renée Nicolas and I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of the students, teachers, and staff at Sainte Thérèse de Lavial in Haiti. The school is experiencing a teacher shortage due to a lack of funds. My father, Pierre Nicolas, pictured above on the right in blue, is a retired Boston Public School teacher and is currently donating his time and expertise as a teacher and administrator. His support, along with the ongoing work of community leaders, remaining teachers and administration, has resulted in the school hiring seven new teachers.

The monthly salary for a teacher at Sainte Thérèse de Lavial is $60 USD. Our goal is to raise $3,780, which is the total salary of seven teachers for a nine month academic year. Any funds raised over this goal will go towards students' tuition and school supplies.
