Help Fund Dr. Lan Ly's KU Scholarship

Dr. Lan Ly is a phenomenal human, a great mom and wife, an educator, a soft-spoken presence, and a shining example of how to live life to the fullest.
She was dealt some unfortunate cards when diagnosed with gastric cancer, but in true Lan fashion, handled it with grace and a sense of adventure. Despite all efforts, hospice became the best decision for her and her family.
In discussion with Lan, she desires to leave a legacy that will last far into the future. Because of her love for KU and the quality education she received there, along with her passion for rural medicine and future family medicine physicians (that she gained from her time at Wesley Family Medicine Residency and in her wonderful years serving as a physician in Manhattan, KS), it was decided to pursue an endowment through KU in her name.
I KNOW that we will reach our goal in supporting Lan and helping to shape a very small portion of her legacy. If we reach the goal of $15,000, the endowment will be fully funded!!
I would love to accomplish this as quickly as possible- so that Lan gets to know that her legacy fund has been fulfilled.

Here are some additional details:
- We have added the option to donate to a GoFundMe as it is easy to track our progress towards our goal.
- If you have already made a donation to the KU endowment in Lan's name, that fund and this GoFundMe will be combined and will all end up in the same place!
- KU requires a minimum of $25,000 to create a namesake scholarship. We would love for your contribution to be a part of that legacy.
- As an endowment, the upfront fundraising will generate interest which will be used as the yearly scholarship amount. This allows for the fund to last MANY years into the future!
- Each year when this is awarded, Lan's family will be notified of the impact that this scholarship has made, providing lasting goodness and a bright spot in the tough days ahead.
