Introducing the Endurance Challenge Normandie: Swim, run and ceremoniously walk every inch of all five D-Day landing beaches in Northern France, organized in remembrance of June 6th 1944.
This event will serve to highlight the history and significance of D-Day, honoring the profound sacrifice of all those who stood tall in the service of freedom on that fateful day.

THE TEST:
Athletes will challenge themselves to complete a feat great enough to honor our war heroes and veterans:
Run and swim the entire 80km stretch of coastline over four days.
The organizing committee is traveling to Normandy this August to conduct a trial event and an on-site safety test. The terrain is challenging, the tides are extreme, and the sea is unpredictable. Athletes will need to prepare for all weather conditions.
We need your help to raise $4,000 for safety equipment.
Fund a Beach: $200 funds a full day of the test event at one of the D-Day Beaches
Fund a Kayak: $100 funds the rental of a kayak for a safety observer
Fund a Bike: $50 funds the rental of a course bike for a safety observer
Fund a Radio: $25 funds the rental of a radio or other equipment for dedicated safety communications

The Endurance Challenge Normandie mission supports ongoing education programs for all ages, as well as one-of-a-kind commemoration efforts to honor military units who were integral to the success of the landing but have been largely overlooked by history.

*Any monies raised beyond $4,000 will be directed to our education and commemoration funds, keeping the significance of D-Day alive in our schools, and honoring the forgotten medics of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion.

No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or promotions are offered in exchange for any donations made to my GoFundMe.
