Join DC Singer Collective for our first chamber choral project: The Road to Ferrara.
Featuring works by Palestrina, Gesualdo, Lasso, and de Wert, this concert explores sacred and secular choral music from the height of the Italian Renaissance, from breathtaking choral polyphony to fascinating, virtuosic madrigals. Take a journey with us to the famed Renaissance court of the Dukes of Ferrara, which attracted composers from all over Europe to create some of the most inventive music of the age. Fourteen of the Washington area's finest professional choral singers converge for this special presentation that you won't want to miss.
