Colton's Open Heart Surgery

Before my son was born, we had no idea anything was wrong. My doctor even told me at every appointment he was "perfect". Our whole lives changed upside down when we found out he had a heart defect. At 7 days old was his first surgery. Thankfully they could go into his heart through his femoral artery and vein. There's nothing like seeing your brand new baby like that. At 2 months old he went into complete heart failure. God truly saved his life that night- even his nurse said him making it through the night was "the most incredible thing she's ever seen". He then had another heart surgery; a repeat of his first.
And once again at 3 months old, less than a month after his 2nd surgery, and after showing heart failure symptoms yet again, he had his biggest surgery thus far- his first open heart surgery.
Colton will be getting his next open heart surgery next month, in January. This surgery will be far more invasive ans complex, manipulating many parts of his heart. With my husband being a Marine Corps vet, we aren't lucky enough to have Tricare pay for almost all of it this time. All money made will go directly to paying any and all bills related to his surgery and hospital stay. I can't imagine how big of a financial burden this will be on our family.
