For many talented students in Baltimore, the dream of attending college can feel distant. Some have never had the opportunity to step onto a university campus or experience what college life is truly like. This Spring Break 2026, a group of 10 to 12 high-achieving high school students from underrepresented communities will have the opportunity to participate in a multi-state College Exposure Tour designed to introduce them to real college environments and inspire their academic futures. For many of these students, it will be their first time visiting a college campus. This experience has the potential to change how they see their future.

The Challenge We Are Working to Solve
The biggest barrier right now is transportation. In order for these students to visit universities across multiple states, a bus must be rented so the group can travel safely together. The cost of the bus rental is approximately $14,000. Without this transportation, the students will not be able to make the trip. Every contribution made to this campaign goes directly toward helping cover the transportation cost so these students can physically reach the campuses that could shape their futures.

Why This Experience Matters
This tour is more than a trip. It is an opportunity to expand what these students believe is possible. During the tour, students will visit real college campuses, meet admissions representatives, learn about the college application process, experience campus life, ask questions about scholarships and financial aid, and gain the confidence to pursue higher education. For many of these students, simply seeing themselves on a college campus can be a life-changing moment.

My name is Amber, and I am the Founder of Amber & Co. Events, LLC. I created this initiative because I believe that exposure creates opportunity. Many students in Baltimore have the ability, talent, and determination to succeed academically, but they do not always have access to experiences that allow them to visualize their future. This program was created to bridge that gap and provide students with the inspiration and guidance they need to pursue their goals.
