Help Fund Christine’s Son’s Future

My name is Allegra, and I am collecting funds for my colleague Christine. One day during lunch, Christine confided in me that she was struggling to pay tuition fees for one of her children. Her story is tragic and emotional. She had to flee Burundi after her husband passed away. Without a male figure in her family, she became a target of violence and robbery. In search of safety, she took her children and fled to Rwanda, hoping for a better life.

Although Rwanda is a safe country, Christine had to leave behind her family, friends, and job to find refuge. Even though they found safety, they were still regarded as immigrants, which affected both her and her children's ability to fully integrate. Christine now works in the field of cooperation, where she helps others every day with great dedication. However, she cannot afford to help her own child finish university. She struggles to pay the fees, as her salary is not enough, and her children are unable to find part-time jobs in Rwanda due to their non-Rwandan status.

Christine’s child is currently in his second year of a Bachelor’s program in Civil Engineering, with two years remaining. The total tuition fees for the entire degree amount to €2,400. While this may not seem like a large sum to many in Europe, it is a significant amount for Christine and her family.

We need your help to guarantee Christine’s son the opportunity to complete his education. In today’s world, everyone deserves a chance to build a better life and to shape their own future.

Since platforms like GoFundMe do not allow Rwandan bank accounts, we will collect the funds through my bank account. Once the amount is raised, I will transfer the money to Christine’s account so she can secure her son's future, just as every mother dreams of.

Mi chiamo Allegra e sto raccogliendo fondi per la mia collega Christine. Un giorno, durante la pausa pranzo, Christine mi ha confidato che stava avendo difficoltà a pagare le tasse universitarie per uno dei suoi figli. La sua storia è tragica e molto toccante. Il figlio di Christine è attualmente iscritto al secondo anno di un corso di laurea in ingegneria civile, e gli mancano ancora due anni. Le tasse universitarie per tutto il corso di laurea ammontano a 2.400 euro. Anche se questa cifra può sembrare modesta per molti in Europa, è una somma significativa per Christine e la sua famiglia.
