Help Fund Chirp Up: A Special Comedy Event

We are Absolunacy, Ball State University’s premier improv comedy troupe. We host an annual longform improv festival on campus. We invite professional comedians from around the country to teach us and fellow Midwestern collegiate troupes how to improve our improv comedy and teamwork. Comedy festivals are nothing new, but Chirp Up is a very special tradition to us. We randomize all invited troupes to create new teams for the day. We participate in workshops together in the morning and perform in the show at night. We are the only college festival we know that has this system, making it unique among the others.

In order to pull off this amazing opportunity, we need to compensate the professionals for their time and service. We like to provide them housing and reimbursement for travel expenses as well. Typically, our university provides us the funding, but this semester we were offered none. We are asking for help from family and friends to put this together so we are not paying a majority out of the pockets of our team of 12.
