Hello! My name is Charlotte and I am raising funds to help pay tuition fees for a one-year Certificate of Higher Education course at East 15 Acting School. I am beyond passionate about performing and entertaining people, which is why I'm pursuing training at such a prestigious institution, so as to hopefully one day perform professionally.
As I have already been to university (which coincidentally was where I realised that performing for people was what made me truly happy), I do not qualify for government-funded student finance. I have left my full-time job at Sainsbury's in order to devote my self to this course, but will be picking up a part-time job once I’ve moved to Southend to be on campus.
Currently, most of my experience comes from my involvement in amateur dramatics, which I threw myself into immediately on returning from my final year at university. I have played multiple stage roles, including Alice in a Christmas production of 'The Vicar of Dibley', Elsie Kipling in 'My Boy Jack', and am currently rehearsing for a production of 'Oh What a Lovely War!'. Recently, I was also given the opportunity to feature in Sainsbury's new advert campaign, which was an amazing introduction into screen-acting, and really just made me even more certain that I want to act professionally. My absolute favourite thing to do is to make people smile and laugh, and to do that for a living (as corny as it sounds) would be a dream come true!
I have attached some headshots I got recently, as well as a recent self-tape, the monologue from which was one that I used for my audition to get into drama school!
I will be forever grateful for any support you can offer, whether that's even just a few pounds, or simply sharing my story and fundraiser, it would mean the world to me! Thank you so much, Charlotte :)
