Hello! My name is Charlotte and I am raising funds to help pay tuition and accommodation fees for a one-year MA in Professional Acting at Drama Studio London, starting in September this year. I am beyond passionate about performing and entertaining people, which is why I'm pursuing further training following the Cert HE course I've been studying this year at East 15 Acting School, so as to hopefully one day perform professionally.

The MA tuition is £16,500 for the one-year course. Student Finance England offers Masters Loans of up to £13,206. The estimated cost of living for one year whilst at DSL is £13,347.

As I have had to self-fund my foundation course at East 15, using all of my savings and everything in my account that I'd saved since graduating my BA, I have very limited funds to live on going into this new venture. I've already taken a massive risk in accepting my offer by paying a non-refundable deposit. I'm applying for a Masters Loan from Student Finance England and scholarships and bursaries connected to the university, however these aren't guaranteed and don't cover the full tuition cost, let alone living costs. I plan to work full-time during the summer and get a part-time job whilst studying the masters, in order to contribute to living costs, but as I will be relocating to London, these will be higher than I'm used to.

I currently have experience acting on stage and on screen (most recently for the Sainsbury's TV advert), both of which I hope to expand on whilst at DSL. The course also culminates in an industry showcase involving MFA and BA students, performed for acting agents and casting directors from across London. I'm also especially excited for the chance to perform a touring pantomime for local schools in the Ealing area, which is a unique component of the course. This would be the most valuable opportunity for me to truly cement myself as a professional actor.

My absolute favourite thing to do is to make people smile and laugh, and to do that for a living (as corny as it sounds) would be a dream come true!
