Those who knew Isaiah(Zay) best, knew he could be quite the storyteller… whether that story was “true” or not, is another story in itself…but he could always be counted on to be brutally honest when he needed to be. With an infectious laugh, dimples like his mother, and eyes that twinkled when he smiled, it was easy to see why he got along with everyone and had so many friends from every walk of life. Described by his Mom as “ridiculously funny,” ever-talkative Isaiah was a jokester that loved to laugh, travel anywhere on a whim, have a good time with his friends and family, and of course – to cheer on Tom Brady when his favorite NFL team, the Patriots, played. The father of two beautiful girls, a hard-worker and visionary, Isaiah loved his friends and family, and especially his mother with a fierce loyalty that left an impression on everyone he met.
On August 21, 2021, after repeated attempts to reach him by phone, his mother Melinda De La Torre, drove up to his home to check on him. Unfortunately, when she entered the apartment, she discovered him non-responsive and it was obvious that recovery efforts would be futile.
Isaiah was deeply loved by so many people in numerous cities, and even around the world. May he rest in peace as he is now with his Maker and free of the humanly burdens of this world.
Because Isaiah did have friends in so many places, it is the desire of the family to hold 2 services – one in Spokane and one in Seattle. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise enough funds to be able to provide both services in a manner that would make Isaiah proud. If not enough money is raised to be able to host 2 services, the main service will be held in Seattle.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please limit your inquiries. His mother, Melinda, is dealing with the unfathomable loss of her only child on top of managing all of his affairs. While she is greatly appreciative of your condolences and well-wishes, at this time she also requests the privacy and respect that she deserves.
