Help Fund Cassandra's Life-Changing Surgery and Recovery

Hi friends,
I’m reaching out today with a deep ask for someone who truly deserves peace after years of pain.
My best friend and soul sister, Cassandra, is finally scheduled for surgery at the end of August after fighting for answers for over a decade. She’s been living with excruciating, life-limiting pain for years—pain that doctors brushed off, misdiagnosed, or masked with medications. It wasn’t until just recently that she met a surgeon who believed her, and finally confirmed she has endometriosis and adenomyosis.
The relief she felt wasn’t just physical—it was emotional, spiritual, soul-deep. To finally be heard, trusted, and given a clear path forward has been everything. But the financial toll of this is heavy.
Here’s what she’s up against:
The surgery will cost over $8,000, largely out of pocket, because endometriosis is rarely covered by insurance.
Required MRIs (to determine whether the disease has spread to her intestines) cost $1,500+.
She’ll need weeks of recovery time, which means no commissions and reduced income—on top of the debt she’s still catching up on from everyday life (insert a cross country move and spending half of 2024 looking for employment).
I’ve watched her navigate this uphill battle with more grace than anyone should ever be expected to muster. I’ve seen her smile through the pain. I’ve seen her work full days while barely able to sit, stand, or walk without pain. I’ve seen her gaslight herself into thinking “it’s not that bad” because no one would believe her.
But now? There’s finally a chance to fix this. To give her body a chance to breathe. To rest. To heal. And I want to help carry her there. I hope you’ll help me do that.
If you’re able to donate, you’ll be part of making that healing possible. If not, please consider sharing this link, her Instagram, or her Ko-fi shop. She’s offering custom weavings, fiber kits, and embroidery pieces, which she’ll begin right away but finish fulfilling once she’s strong enough post-surgery.
She’s always shown up for others with everything she has, even when she had nothing left. This time, I want to make sure she feels that love returned.
Thank you for reading, for giving, for sharing, and for helping me help her heal. She means the world to me—and I know this surgery could change her life.
