Hello family and friends. Thank you so much for supporting Linda during this challenging time as she fights to beat her battle with ovarian cancer.

Your donations have given Linda the much needed financial help to cover her medical bills and living expenses. Your generous support has been tremendous.
Linda extends her deepest gratitude to everyone. Thank you all so very much!

Here is a recap of Linda’s progress to date.
Linda maintains a positive attitude, despite experiencing numerous ups and downs over the course of several months.

Since her abdominal surgery to remove the large tumor and to undergo chemotherapy, she has been unable to return to work.
Due to her post operative surgery and cancer treatments, she has taken time away to rest and recover to help regain her strength. Her appetite has improved over time but still struggles to regain weight.

Linda’s initial cancer treatments began in November. The plan was six chemo treatments involving two types of cancer drugs over the course of six months.
Unfortunately, she was only able to complete three chemo sessions as she encountered life threatening complications.

In December, as the nurse administered her second chemo drip she succumb to anaphylactic shock requiring emergency CPR. Somehow she had an allergic reaction causing respiratory failure. Forced oxygen was also applied while she was transported to emergency. Thankfully, she recovered after an overnight stay at the hospital.

This setback required her to take additional weeks to recover before she would redo her second chemo. On her second chemo, her oncologist reduced her meds to one chemo drug while eliminating the offending chemo.

In January, Linda finally completed her second and third chemo treatments and successfully avoiding another rejection.

Linda has suffered frequent low blood count levels requiring numerous blood infusions. A common side effect of chemotherapy.

As for the blood tests to check on tumor antigens, they were showing positive results only up until recently.

In early February, a blood test revealed that her blood count was low and the tumor antigens had spiked bringing concern to her oncologist. A CT Scan of her abdomen and chest revealed both progression and regression of her tumors. An indication of some tumors shrinking but others growing. The life saving chemo she was prescribed had stopped working. This was a huge setback but Linda still maintained a positive attitude.

After a thorough review and discussion with her oncologist, Dr Drake prescribed her two new cancer drugs. This would entail another six month course involving a week on week off program.

She has since completed two chemo sessions as of late March and her blood count has remained within limits.

Linda still has a long road ahead to recovery as she fights to eliminate the tumors in her body. She will need to rebuild her weight as she has lost considerable muscle and overall strength.

We still need your help. Your donations, whether big or small, is greatly appreciated. Please help Linda in her fight to beat cancer and to regain her life back.
Thank you again for all your support.
