Hello there! Our names are Lydia and Asher, and we are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our close friend, Cal.

Cal is a 24-year-old queer, trans man who is raising funds for medically necessary, gender-affirming top surgery scheduled to take place this upcoming June. This gender-affirming care has become time-sensitive as access to trans healthcare and gender-affirming care has been increasingly threatened this year.

Explanation of what funds will help cover:

His insurance is covering the majority of the cost of surgery itself; however, there is a remaining balance after insurance, as well as other related medical expenses pertaining to the surgery. Since he is required to take a month off of work at a minimum for his recovery period, there are also funds needed to cover his costs such as loss of income, rent, essential bills, groceries, and supplies specifically pertaining to post-op care during this time as well.
