“Guess who's back?”

But this fundraiser isn't for us! Our friend Blu is a chronically ill, trans-non-binary person. Xe has requested that xer full name isn’t used, for safety reasons, as xe are a young adult.

You see, Blu lives in Ottawa, and is getting gender-affirming top surgery. Isn't that super exciting? Thankfully, OHIP covers the actual surgery, which saves them quite a chunk of change.

However - they don't cover one of the most important parts of top surgery - the "cosmetic" part, known as contouring. This is where they even out the areas of fat near the breasts and make it all look more uniform.

That's why we're here! Our friend needs around $3000 to cover the costs of contouring, and we'd like for them to have it before they get top surgery. That way, it can all be done at the same time, and they'll only have to go under anesthesia once.

We'll know a date for their top surgery in the next couple of weeks.

Also, there are a handful of things they'll need while recovering, like a pregnancy pillow and easy-to-grab snacks. They'll be here with us while they recover (since I work from home and can be here all day, among other reasons).
