Hi, my name is Ash Rubin, and I’m building Blood & Violets Games, my independent dark medieval fantasy game studio focused on strategy, survival, kingdom-building, and ruler-based roleplay. I’m currently developing two projects: Kingdoms of Blood & Violets, a no-pay-to-win dark fantasy kingdom builder focused on strategy, survival, progression, resource management, research, army building, corrupted wilderness threats, and growing a frontier settlement into a powerful kingdom; and Medieval Ruler Sim, a grounded medieval ruler simulator focused on choice, roleplay, strategy, dynasty, succession, legacy, court politics, personal rule, and the consequences of ruling. This fundraiser is meant to help support active development for both games.

Donations may go toward development tools, software, AI, video, and image generation credits for concept visuals and promotional materials, website and hosting costs, prototype development, testing, publishing preparation, and paying artists or creative collaborators as the projects grow. Both games are still early in development, and I want to be transparent about that. Some current trailers, mockups, visuals, and promotional materials use AI-assisted concept visuals or placeholder assets to help show the intended direction while final original art, UI, gameplay systems, and polish are still being developed.

My goal is to keep building these games honestly, transparently, and without relying on pay-to-win design. Any support helps me move closer to stronger prototypes, better visuals, paid creative collaboration, and eventual playable releases. Donations are deeply appreciated, but they do not purchase ownership, equity, profit share, employment, creative control, or guaranteed in-game benefits.
