Help Fund Benzo Recovery Film

Donation protected
We are indie filmmakers raising money to fund a short film on benzodiazepine withdrawal and recovery. The goal is to create a film that will help promote social awareness of the benzodiazepine crisis.

Each year, many people have their lives utterly destroyed by debilitating benzodiazepine withdrawal symptoms. Many people end their lives because the withdrawal is so severe and can literally go on for years.

The goal of this film is to promote social awareness, and to give others an impression of what benzodiazepine withdrawal is and what recovery looks like. This film is to be both informative and dramatic.  This is not a documentary film. This film will be something that anyone going through benzodiazepine recovery can show their loved ones and hopefully help them better understand what they're going through.

Log line: A woman has her life nearly destroyed after she is prescribed Xanax to help her get over the death of her fiancé.

This project is led by David Powers, an indie filmmaker and benzodiazepine recovery coach.  Not only is Powers someone that experienced firsthand benzodiazepine dependence and recovery, he is also a dissertation student in clinical psychology and uses psychological techniques to aid in benzodiazepine recovery.
