We’re reaching out with full hearts and hopeful spirits.

Our 14-year-old daughter Avery made a major leap last year—starting 8th grade at Masis Integrated Bilingual School here in Anasco, Puerto Rico after our move from the mainland. It was a big change: new island, new culture, new school, and no familiar faces.

The transition wasn’t easy, but Avery stuck with it. She made real friendships, connected with her teachers, and for the first time in a long while, she began to truly thrive. She’s finally feeling at home here on the island.

Now, she’s excited to begin her Freshman year, but we’re facing a financial challenge. 9th grade annual tuition with books is right around $5,800, and after pouring our savings into relocating and purchasing a small souvenir shop locally to support our family, we simply can’t cover it.

We’re organizing this fundraiser on Avery’s behalf because we believe in giving her the best chance to succeed. The alternatives—public school where she doesn’t speak Spanish, or online school which would isolate her at home—would be a setback after all the progress she’s made.

Avery has found her rhythm. Her confidence is growing. She is starting to learn Spanish, and her grades are A’s and B’s! We just want to keep her in the school where she feels safe, supported, and inspired. So we are using this platform to reach out for help from friends, family, and anyone who believes in the power of education and stability during times of transition.
