My name is Nicole Mazur, founder of NavinMaps the world’s first navigation app designed by and for the neurodiverse community. I’m honoured to have won Gold in the Women in Tech category at the 2025 Women Changing the World Awards.
I have now been invited to represent Australia at the 2026 Women Changing the World Global Summit in Paris.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stand for Australia, share our work, and bring global attention to the need for accessible, sensory-aware navigation. To attend, and to continue building the app that so many families are waiting for, I’m asking for your support.
Why I Created NavinMaps
I’m an autistic woman raising three beautiful boys, two of whom are autistic. I know how overwhelming travel can feel when the world is unpredictable, loud or confusing.
NavinMaps was created to change that.
It offers calm, clear and sensory-considered help, including:
• Quiet-route options
• Predictable step-by-step guidance
• Reduced visual and auditory overload
• Step-free and accessible route choices
• Tools that help you prepare before you travel
This project comes from lived experience and a genuine desire to make the world safer and easier to navigate.
Why I’m Fundraising
I’m raising $20,000 to support essential needs:
1. NavinMaps App Development
Funding to pay developers, build essential accessibility features and complete user testing so the app can reach the people who need it most.
Every contribution helps bring NavinMaps closer to launch and ensures I can represent Australia with pride.
My Journey
My life has been shaped by resilience. I survived cervical cancer. I lost my baby daughter to cot death. These experiences changed me forever and strengthened my resolve to build something meaningful for my boys and for families like ours.
Winning the Women in Tech award reminded me that steady effort and compassion can create real change. With your help, I can take this work from Australia to the world.
How Your Support Helps
Your donation will:
• Help this Australian woman in tech attend a global summit in Paris
• Support the continued development of NavinMaps
• Bring accessible, sensory-aware navigation to neurodiverse and disabled communities
• Contribute to a project built on lived experience, community values and practical impact
Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.
