Hi everyone, our names are Nils and Adriana and this is our sweet girl, Aspen. She’s a two year old, fun-loving, smart, and gentle Aussiedoodle. While we were away, Aspen was unfortunately involved in an animal fight that resulted in extensive external trauma; mainly a large bruise that covers a majority of her abdomen that has resulted in large lacerations and skin coming apart or off. She’s been to the vet several times now but today we were shocked and devastated to learn that her condition has worsened despite our best efforts. She requires emergency veterinary medicine that we will need to seek out in Guelph or Toronto, as London does not offer what she needs. We were quoted likely about a $30,000 cost to cover everything, and she will require constant care for the foreseeable future. We’ve had a vet recommend euthanasia due to her current state, but we want to give our sweet, strong girl a fighting chance, because she means everything to us. This is going to be a long, uphill battle for us, but she’s beloved by everyone she meets, and really is a part of our family.
