I'm Arianna Barton, a singer-songwriter from Milltown, IN.

MY STORY

I tend to get asked where I learned how to play music….the answer is "everywhere!" The first time I paid any attention to music was at a horse farm that always played the radio station 'WAMZ' for their stalled horses. The owners said it was "to keep them calm during the night" (or so I remember). I heard some (what would be now) classic hits and started writing my own songs. I was around 6 years old when I remember writing the first few lines of my first song…. It went "I'm sittin' in the basement drinkin' beer and wine." Mother found those lyrics and gave me a heck of a hounding (I was definitely not drinking at that age!).

Fast forward to around 16, I finally taught myself a few notes on the guitar and the lyrics started just spewing out! A lot of them were just stories that held prominent in my head, which I wrote out. Some…. as crazy as it seems, became true stories! That led to the first band development. One of my older brothers saw the potential in me and helped introduce a world I never thought I'd get into….

12 ½ years later I find myself with an all-female backing band, The Bourbon Britches, I never saw coming! I am overwhelmed with the positivity, gratitude, and overall camaraderie this group has to offer me. There are many great things to come…. and we are just at the very beginning…

You can help me on my musical journey by helping me fund my debut solo album. Many folks have asked me at shows when am I going to record an album??? My songs are my babies, and if they're going to get recorded, I want the process done right. I have 14 original songs on the docket to record. The vision is to record remotely from a church in Seymour, IN working with House Productions in August. There are a few very special guest artists who I have in mind to record on the album as well. Funds will be used to pay for recording, mixing and mastering, pay musicians, and any extra left over will be used to purchase merchandise items to promote my music at shows.
