Hi there!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Angie Barrios.

I am a self taught cook and visual artist working across an array of mediums, all under the scope of food and the earth. For the past year and a half I have brought to life Comparta, an interactive supper club, as a means of being able to tap into my creativity and increase my skills as a chef.

I'm excited to share that I have been accepted into an artist residency at World's End School just outside of Albany, NY in February. I'm grateful to have the chance to be in such a unique space with other artists and radical thinkers, but I know that I need help to get there.

Most residencies are seldom paid for nor come with a travel/living stipend suitable for long durations, which means that all costs are paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, this leaves most artists in a bind in having their financial assets secure before taking the leap in investing in their future… which is why I am here, kindly asking for your support in helping me reach my goal.

My goal at World's End is to produce work at the intersection of visual arts and the art of cooking. I hope to be inspired by the land, the textures and the food grown during this harsh winter period to really create some unique food sculptures and develop recipes and ways of communing together.
