I am studying abroad in Italy this summer. I am fundraising to help pay for expenses while I am there, specifically to make my stay as immersive as possible.

While I am there, I will be learning the language and culture and interacting with people my age from a different walk of life.

My great-grandfather was an Italian immigrant and my great-grandmother was also Italian. This trip will help me develop a stronger connection with my heritage and my family history.

The program is a 4 week language and culture immersion in Rome. Throughout the past year I’ve been taking an Italian class and have grown a decent understanding of the language, this program will help me put that knowledge to good use. The courses I will be taking are going to afford me the opportunity to gain college credit.
