Help Fund Amari’s Top Surgery

Hello Comrades, my name is Amari and I am a 23-year old trans masculine African. I am crowdfunding for my top surgery which is set for May 31st. I’ve been very fortunate enough to have found a surgeon that is skilled, accepts my insurance and is accessible!

 I’ve been battling with dysphoria *heavily* since I was young, and it wasn’t until several years ago that I learned that I didn’t have to feel the way I did living with body dysphoria. I’m grateful to have had the resources to transition on T for the last 2.5 years, but I am not fully comfortable in my skin despite it. I have always known that this surgery will change all of that and allow me to be authentically myself.

I won’t be able to work while recovering from the procedure, so I am turning to community for support with the co-pays of the surgery as well as recovery, so that I will still be able to cover the cost of rent, food, and medical supplies.

 Having top surgery is something that I have needed for myself for a very long time. Living with body dysphoria has taken a toll on me physically, emotionally and spiritually for years, so to have this done would be life-changing for me. Thank you guys so much for reading this!
