Help Fund Alan Rodriguez's Funeral
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Dizzy. I was a good friend of Alan's. I've created this Gofundme in hopes of helping Alan Rodriguez's family. Before I get into it, let me tell you a little bit about Alan. He had recently celebrated his 20th birthday on August 15th. A young, talented, self-taught musician, he was also getting ready to release his music to the world. And, amazingly, always had his tre-flips down. Alan was the kind of guy who was always someone's friend and never a foe. He was a part of so many chosen families that the moment every one of these members found out he had passed unexpectedly, a piece of their hearts died too.
On August 21st of this year, Alan's family realized something was wrong when they noticed his car sitting in the driveway. He was an early bird who liked to start his mornings right, so after it sunk in that being home this early wasn't like him, they desperately tried to get ahold of him. Because his door was locked, they had no choice but to get in through his bedroom window frantically. And upon opening it, they discovered Alan, still lying in bed, seemingly sleeping peacefully through the chaos his parents and brother ensued. But that wasn't the case. Alan had unexplainably passed in his sleep.
Nothing could have prepared any of us the day word got around. It all seems like a joke gone-to-far, and Alan will walk through our doors soon, laughing his contagious laughter, saying something like, "It worked! I got everyone together." Why? Because as far as we know, Alan was a poster child of perfect health. He took such great care of himself and the people around him. Heck, he was the glue that held everyone together, no matter how stretched thin he was. Well, that's how myself and a couple of other friends feel, but to others, it's a different yet entirely wholesome experience and connection. But I know everyone who spoke to Alan could feel his kindness and positivity for anything, everything, and everyone.
Creating this Gofundme is not only important to me but for his family, as they continue, day by day, without Alan. As of August 24, there has been no new information on the cause of death, but the Gofundme will be updated accordingly. Not everyone can relate to it, but I beg you, reader, to try and comprehend that grieving is not easy when you have to plan and finance a funeral, especially an unexpected one. Donating to the Rodriguezs will help lift the financial burden this unexpected loss has generated, significantly transforming and easing their heartache. Let us show their family warmth, love, and care, just as Alan did for us.
Thank you for taking your time to read our story and give us your support. No action is too small to make a big impact.
A best friend gone too soon is devastating. But what would have been worse is never to have met him. We are grateful to have been Alan's friend in life and will continue to be their friend in death, honoring them in all we do.
