EDIT: After 7 weeks in boarding plus vet bills, the pot is now dry! Luna costs £144 per week.

We are a brand new rescue (Paddy's Dog Rescu) without any reserves and we are appealing for a funding towards the costs for Luna, a severely abused dog that we took in under our care. We don't have kennels of our own and place our dogs in commercial kennels and the fees really do mount up. We have four dogs in kennels at the moment.

We can't do this without your support.

Luna has had:

• She’s had vet care costing £237.91 which included a booster, ear drop treatment, deworming and defleaing.

• Boarding costs are £144 a week.

• She will need to be spayed at a cost of £385 (at a later date as advised by a vet to allow her time to decompress).

APPEAL FOR FOSTER/ADOPTER

Luna, a two-year-old bully mix, was abused daily for the last few months at least according to neighbours. But despite her ordeal, she is such a trusting dog with a wag of her tail for everyone.

If you’re in Merseyside or within a couple of hour drive and able to foster or adopt Luna please get in touch.

Luna can't live with cats and any children in the home need to be over 12 - she's been nothing but friendly but this is due to her size.

She has been very friendly with dogs on walks so may be able to live with a dog following successful introductions (can’t be unneutered male).

She’s has displayed moments of being very chilled with bursts of excitement; she’s likely not been walked in months and may present calmer when her exercise needs are being met.

She pulls on the lead initially then is easier to walk (she's strong but not the worst I've encounted).

I’m sure she will make an absolutely fabulous loving pet for someone with a little training.
